BIO: Scott is a native of Indiana and received his Bachelor of Arts (1986) and Master of Science (1991) degrees from Purdue University. He earned his Ph.D. in Soil Science at Texas A&M University in 1996. Scott was with the Potash & Phosphate Institute for 10 years prior to joining IPNI. He is currently Director of the Northcentral Region where corn and soybean are the dominant crops. His regional geography within the Institute include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. His primary area of interest is developing flexible, site-specific nutrient recommendation approaches that are profitable, environmentally responsible, and scientifically sound.
